Review : Dated, but generally a good kit
This is an old Monogram kit (mine has a copyright of 1973), and does have its limitations. The parts fit together fairly well, but you'll still need putty to fill the fuselage joints. The cockpit interiors have quite a bit of detail for such an old kit, with some sidewall detail, and molded-in seatbelts. There is a sliding cockpit mechanism, which, when it works, allows one to open and close the canopies. The gun bay can also be displayed open or closed, and contains detailed machine guns. Downsides include: a strange setup for the cockpit interiors, which can make it difficult to assemble the fuselage halves properly, and the presence of type reading "Monogram C1973, China" on the tail surface along with ejector pin marks.
This is still a good kit, but it will require some skills the very beginner might not have. If you're comfortable in your dry-fitting, sanding, and filling skills, this is a good representation of a unique aircraft, and in 1/72 scale, is the only...
