Review : OK but it's the only choice
This kit has been around for many years, and is one of the classic Monogram 1/48 scale kits, with raised panel lines, a couple of crew figures and no 'flash' around the parts. It's relatively cheap and looks the part when finished.
There are two decal options and two colour schemes, although aftermarket sets will be better and usually provide the thin red striping which is very visible on the model.
From memory, the fit of this kit was always a bit iffy even 20 years ago when I first built it: you have to do quite a bit of puttying and sanding to come up with a nice model. But it's worth it as the Black Widow is a mean looking beast in 48th scale.
It's the only 1/48 P-61 kit around, and a relative bargain. If Tamiya or Hasegawa released one it would be three times the price!
